If Americans fought World War II with the same resolve many are displaying in the war against COVID-19, we all would be speaking German today.

My wife and I are part of an older segment of the population and she has notable underlying conditions. If we have a medical emergency and need to call 9-1-1, the paramedic who shows up is likely to not be vaccinated.

Nearly half of all Los Angeles Police Department employees are still unvaccinated and the two cops who were at the bagel store one recent morning were the only ones there without masks. If a cop pulls me over, do I have to roll down my window or can insist on first seeing their vaccination card.

I watched a Dodgers’ game on TV. Have they declared Dodger Stadium a mask-free zone? For that matter, how about all those football stadia that welcomed fans this weekend. What usher is going to confront a 6 ft. 4 in. drunk and his buddies who are unmasked?
CASES RISE AMONG UNVACCINATED
L.A. Times – August 26, 2021
It’s time for the fed-up majority to rebel against the foolishness around us. We don’t demonstrate or threaten public health officials and elected representatives because it isn’t in our nature. Maybe it’s time to change that. If those officials continue to allow anti-mask and anti-vaccine demonstrators to bully them, then it definitely is time to change that. They start to get tough, those elected officials, and consider vaccine mandates for their employees. Then they back off and say, “Well, if you don’t want to get vaccinated, how about a weekly test?”
Weekly testing as a substitute? Ha. Test on Monday; get exposed to the virus on Tuesday; on Wednesday get back the result of Monday’s test and it’s negative but they’re already infected; then on Friday they start to spread the virus to everyone they see; until finally they test again next Monday and Ooops, Wednesday they learn it’s positive.
Then there’s the cost of those weekly tests. How about we require vaccine resisters to pay for their tests. How about insurance companies refuse to cover medical costs for the unvaccinated? How about life insurance policies treat deaths of the unvaccinated as suicide and refuse to pay? Cruel to the survivors? Well maybe the survivors should have asserted themselves earlier.
All this may sound mean spirited. But damn it, they are asserting rights they don’t have and depriving the rest of us of rights we do have.

MASKLESS TEACHER INFECTED HER STUDENTS
L.A. Times – August 28, 2021
What if we staged a revolt of the vaccinated? What if we march on city hall, camp out in front of the mayor’s house, surround police headquarters and the police union offices, chant slogans during city council and school board meetings, march on Hollywood Boulevard in numbers great enough to disrupt traffic? What if we carried signs with snappy slogans like “Vaccinate or stay home”? What if we required proof of vaccination to take part in these demonstrations and require everyone to wear a mask? What if we demand that our elected officials order vaccinated police offices to protect us from the violence-prone anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers?
WOULD YOU PARTICIPATE IN THESE DEMONSTRATIONS OR WOULD YOU JUST SIT QUIETLY BY AND SUBMIT TO MORE OF THE SAME?
